چکیده

The aim of this study was based on the kinematic parameters, extracted at different stages of performing a forward handspring to determine the interconnection of methodological procedures of learning with the final structure of the movement. The respondent is an active competitor with years of experience, elite athlete, many times Croatian champion, and competitor at European, World Championships and the Olympics. The team composed of six gymnastic experts, chose one of the best performances by twelve methodological procedures and the best performance (of six) two-leg forward handsprings basing their choice on a detailed review of recorded material. Assessment of quality of performance was done according to the defined rules prescribed by the regulations (Code of Points). The forward handspring technique consists of four phases based on which 45 space and time kinematic parameters were selected (30 parameters in the phase of hand contact and push-off, 7 in the flight phase, and 8 parameters in the landing phase). By extraction of space and time parameters, there was a differentiation of certain methodological procedures that are the best for learning forward handspring in each phase of its performance. This research indicates that these methodological procedures mostly coincide in space kinematic parameters by which the technique of a forward handspring is described.

Maximal Power of the Lower Limbs of Youth Gymnasts and Biomechanical Indicators of the Forward Handspring Vault Versus the Sports Result

The aim of the study was to define the relationship between maximal power of lower limbs, the biomechanics of the forward handspring vault and the score received during a gymnastics competition. The research involved 42 gymnasts aged 9-11 years competing in the Poland's Junior Championships. The study consisted of three stages: first -estimating the level of indicators of maximal power of lower...

Investigation of Hand Contact Forces of Female Gymnasts Performing a Handspring Vault

The purpose of this study was to characterize the normal (Fz) and anterior-posterior (Fx) hand contact forces of female gymnasts performing a handspring vault on the modern vault table. Twelve National Junior Olympic female gymnasts participated. The vault table was instrumented with two, two-dimensional calibrated portable force platforms, one for each hand. Each athlete performed two trials t...

Kinematic Mapping and Forward Kinematic Problem of a 5-DOF (3T2R) Parallel Mechanism with Identical Limb Structures

The main objective of this paper is to study the Euclidean displacement of a 5-DOF parallel mechanism performing three translation and two independent rotations with identical limb structures-recently revealed by performing the type synthesis-in a higher dimensional projective space, rather than relying on classical recipes, such as Cartesian coordinates and Euler angles. In this paper, Study's...

Exploratory Investigation of Impact Loads During the Forward Handspring Vault

The purpose of this study was to examine kinematic and kinetic differences in low and high intensity hand support impact loads during a forward handspring vault. A high-speed video camera (500 Hz) and two portable force platforms (500 Hz) were installed on the surface of the vault table. Two-dimensional analyses were conducted on 24 forward handspring vaults performed by 12 senior level, junior...

Identification of Internal Loads at the Selected Joints and Validation of a Biomechanical Model during Performance of the Handspring Front Somersault

The handspring front somersault in pike position is analyzed in this paper. The computations have been based on a threedimensional model of the human body defined in natural coordinates. The time histories of net muscle torques and internal reactions at the ankle, knee, hip and upper trunk-neck joints have been obtained after the solution of the inverse dynamics problem. The sagittal, frontal a...
